I am having trouble downloading data updates automatically for my TestBank Software. The download does not complete and I receive an error message of 301 or 303.

Sometimes the automatic data update feature in TestBank Offline takes a long time over slow connections, or might fail to complete. Also, the permissions on your computer may prevent TestBank to update its own files. Windows Vista is often set up this way by default.

In such circumstances, you can manually download the new data file and save it to a specified location on your hard drive.

Instructions to perform a manual update

  • First, if you get a similar error message as displayed below, you will want to make sure that the one or two file names specified in your error message are deleted. To do so, simply go to the folder in your error message and make sure that TestBank3 and/or TestBank4 are not there. There will be other files the folder, do not delete any file unless it matches the name listed exactly.
  • Secondly, make sure you close any error messages and TestBank is completely closed.
  • Next, choose the version of TestBank you are updating. It is important that you choose the correct one so that you get the correct material.
